Google Adsense Technical IssuesWeb site owners may have a very good reason to use a particular layout choice even if it may have a lower revenue potential. They may decide, for instance, that the short horizontal banner, at the top or bottom of their pages, compromises their site less. Or they may decide to use one arrangement on some pages and another arrangement on others. Through Google Channels, it is now possible to carry out detailed research on which layouts perform best and on which pages or sites Adsense is best used. You can change your ad colors to be in keeping with your site's design, or to complement it and even vary the colors for each visit. No doubt psychologists are already working on how to best make use of such Adsense color freedom! Our advice, at the moment, would be to keep things straightforward and usable and in keeping with your site's design. Allow the ads to breathe and follow convention wherever possible. After all, people are used to clicking on blue links rather than on yellow or green ones! Make your site, and the ads that appear there, as intuitive to use, and as uncluttered, as possible. We also think that visitors need to be aware that these are advertisements and that clicking on them will take the visitor to another site. This is a matter of maintaining your site's credibility and treating your visitor's with respect. In other words, if the ads are so much integrated into your site that it is no longer clear that they are ads, then your visitor may lose your trust.
